Film Projection

Charlie Chaplin, "Le Pèlerin", 1923.

Since 2017, several films have been produced or screened at the museum for temporary exhibitions, to introduce visitors to the permanent exhibition, or to preserve a living memory of the MIR during its first phase (2005-2021). From March 17 to August 8, visitors to the permanent exhibition are invited, at no extra charge, to discover or revisit these various productions in the first temporary exhibition room.
Silence, We're Preaching! (F/E): Eight film excerpts with commentary showcase unforgettable figures of pastors (Charlie Chaplin, Zwingli, Moby Dick, The Blues Brothers, Fanny Ardant, etc.).
Once Upon a Faith in America (F/E): Eight religious scenes with commentary are taken from major American films (Little Big Man, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Grapes of Wrath, There Will Be Blood, etc.).
Visit to the first MIR (F): The Museum, as it was until 2021, welcomes a camera that resurrects its spaces, its circulation, and some spectacular installations.
The Reformation in…7 minutes! (F/E/D): The introductory film to the MIR visit on the big screen: Luther, Calvin, Germany, Noyon, Geneva, 800 million Protestants…
The Garden (F/E/D), Babel (F/E/D), The Wait (F), Radical Joy (F): Four animated films directed by Serge Bloch and Frédéric Boyer, featuring the voices of André Dussollier and Jeanne Balibar, offer a different perspective on the forbidden fruit, the Tower of Babel, the wait for a messiah, and the joy he unleashes.
