Dynamiques genrées et enjeux de pouvoir dans les arts vivants

Workshop by théâtre forum / de l’opprimé

Atelier de théâtre forum / de l’opprimé

The Théâtre de l'opprimé is a form of popular theater with a political mission. The goal is to dissect systemic oppression and reclaim power in our daily lives. We’re offering a 3-hour workshop co-led by two members of Théâtre de l'opprimé troupe. Through physical exercises and real-life scenarios suggested by the participants, we’ll explore gender dynamics and power issues in the performing arts.

Intentional Inclusion: This workshop is cis-hetero-male-free to provide a safe space for everyone to express themselves.

Trigger Warning: This workshop uses movement and role-play to address violent situations that may be distressing. However, it is not a therapeutic tool; we are not equipped to address trauma that is still too raw.

Alicia Blanvillain is a nurse based in Lausanne. She has always explored acts of care and rituals that reconnect us with life. Her political commitment is embodied in the Théâtre de l'opprimé and in her work with homeless people, where she challenges systemic oppression. Now that she is a mother, she explores the place of children in spaces of creativity and community life.

Maëlle Regnier is an environmental engineering student and a BAFA-certified facilitator and trainer. She is actively involved in supporting asylum seekers, combating violence against women and children, and environmental activism. Through her practice of the Théâtre de l'opprimé, she explores the issues of systemic oppression through the body.

Both have been practicing the Théâtre de l'opprimé for two years. They have co-created a forum play, completed several short workshops, and led a number of workshops.
