A one-off screening of Robina Rose’s NIGHTSHIFT, presented by filmmaker Callisto Mc Nulty and in collaboration with #cine!

4K restored version!
The receptionist at a small hotel (Pamela Rooke, alias Jordan, an iconic figure of the London punk scene) observes the nightly routine that takes over the lobby, as well as the comings and goings of the eccentric guests, played by leading figures from London’s counterculture scene. Time seems to stretch out as this transit space blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination through a series of intertwined narratives that unfold as the night progresses. A unique work imbued with a dreamlike quality, Nightshift paints a striking portrait of the London art scene in the early 1980s.
