Guided visit

1 August at the MIR

Guided Tour

Heinrich Bullinger et Heinrich Thomann, Kopienband zur zürcherischen Kirchen-und Reformationsgeschichte, Manuscrits sur papier, 1605-1606.

To mark National Day on 1 August, we invite you to explore Switzerland and its many cantons – without needing a train ticket – whilst staying right here in the museum. We will visit Zurich, St Gallen, Basel, Bern, Neuchâtel and Geneva, among other cantons and cities across the country that were shaped by the ideas of the Reformation. From iconic figures to regional stories and anecdotes, this tour will explore how this religious, political and social revolution permanently transformed 16th-century Switzerland, and what effects it continues to have on our society to this day.
