Guided visit

Discover our jungle garden

What child hasn't dreamed of exploration, discovery, and fantastic tales? The jungle garden, a brand-new addition to the Botanic Garden, takes us back to that childhood dream of the extraordinary…

Feuilles de bananiers en extérieur

Inspired by tropical rainforests and an idealised, fantasy jungle, the “jungle garden” is a dense ecosystem teeming with lush vegetation. After the summer heat, now is the perfect time of year to appreciate this abundance of greenery.

Discover this new garden with the gardeners behind the project, Matthieu Grillet and Alexandre Chappuis, to learn more about the history of this spectacular creation and wander through its jungle atmosphere.

Connecting from the outside the two entrances to the tropical greenhouse, the “jungle garden” benefits from a favorable microclimate, sheltered from cold winds. An experimental and constantly evolving garden, it provides the necessary conditions to test plants' resistance to external conditions, their acclimatisation, and their adaptation to climate change.

The guided tour also offers an opportunity to discuss our understanding of the environment and the challenges facing those who explore the world of plants. So, are you ready for the adventure?
